Blog has begun!

Ok all, here's the promised blog for our preparations for TEAM CHARLIE. According to the Memory Ride's website, we are already the third highest team. That's a lot of pressure to maintain this standing. Are we up to it????

In case you all did not see Nancy's email, here's a recap of her training journal:

"Day 1 - got the bike out, both tires flat flat flat. found the pump. Put on helmet and riding gloves. Looking pretty cool, yeah. Got on and tried to remember how to switch gears. After 50 yards, got off to replace chain on gears. After 2 miles, holding the gear shift lever in place so that it doesn't slip gears when I'm going uphill. After 8 miles...really wishing we'd brought water. 10 miles - I'm walking some of these gd hills. note to self - consider getting a bike that was made in this century.
Day 2 - on 4th dose of tylenol, and 2nd of Arnica, but able to walk upright this afternoon. Took nap as the leg muscle pain prevented a full night's sleep. Note to self - get more tylenol and arnica at the store...maybe more gin."

Well, while I can't officially recommend gin as a training protocol, it may have it's uses and benefits.

Ok, that's it for this entry. Really I was just trying to figure out how this works. I'll sign off for now, but if you haven't registered for our awesome team yet... slacker!

Bye!
